Are you interested in helping coach a Croft team for Let Me Run, a running and character-education program for 4th and 5th grade boys?

The season is seven weeks long and two trained volunteer coaches are needed to meet twice a week on non-consecutive days for an hour and 15 minutes each time. The spring season would begin mid- to late-March. Coaches attend a one-time training session, which is three hours long, and professional development credits are given to CMS employees for attending training.

Just like the Girls On The Run program, which Croft students participate in, the Let Me Run program combines training for an endurance run (Let Me Run 5k), with guided curriculum focused on increasing self-awareness and acceptance while building healthy relationships with others. The program goal is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ami Fish, Croft’s School Counselor, at amij.fish@cms.k12.nc.us.
