stem & technology
Our students thrive with new challenges, and STEM enrichment activities are a welcome initiative for our Croft family. With a winning Robotics Team, boosts to computer coding and science applications to the real world, Croft PTA wants to make the biggest impact for our students’ futures.
Our Spring Festival will also feature STEAMPalooza, an exciting assortment of academic enrichment activities geared toward boosting excitement for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
We are committed to purchasing a yearlong subscription to Kodable, an app made specifically for children to introduce them to the fundamentals of computer programming.
We plan to purchase expansion kits for our LEGO Mindstorm Robotics Kits that helped our Robotics Team place in its first competition.

Building on the excitement of the recently completed Outdoor Classroom, plans for the upcoming year include improving outdoor gathering areas, boosting recess materials and renovations to Camp Calm.
Camp Calm is a special room within our school that is used to help students decompress. It is themed like a campground, and the relaxing sensory experiences are an excellent resource for students of all ages and abilities. This year we’d like to improve upon the success we’ve already seen with Camp Calm.
This year our 5th graders’ Legacy Project will be a massive art project for the Media Center. In addition, they’ll be creating flexible seating additions for students.

Providing support and materials for all of our teachers, support staff and other school staff, Croft PTA seeks to fill the gap between classroom needs and funding support from federal, state and local resources.
Our teachers resort to purchasing materials with their own money. Croft PTA took a survey of the most-needed classroom items, and we’re working to provide those for our classrooms.
agendas & Parent Square
Communication is key to a fully functioning classroom. Croft PTA covers the cost of each student’s agenda, as well as the school’s subscription to Parent Square.
field trip scholarships
When classes choose to go on field trips, we know that some of our students will not be able to pay the field trip cost. We try to set aside Field Trip Scholarship funds specifically for those students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend with their classmates.

How To help
We can’t complete any of these programs without the generous support of our Croft Community. Not only will you be making a difference in the lives of our students during a critical moment in their lives, but you’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve contributed to solutions.
Consider donating money. Croft PTA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. In addition, many employers offer donation matching programs to double your donation.
Consider donating time. We have volunteer opportunities of all sizes. Whether you have a few moments or can drop by regularly every day, we would love to plug you into our school.
Stay connected. We need our community to know what is happening and help us get out the word when we need help. Consider signing up for email alerts, or if you are a parent, be sure you are connected to Parent Square.
