Our Fun Run program is finally here! We will kick off the program today with an awesome Pep Rally to get our students fired up to help Croft Community School. Please support us by asking friends and family to pledge your child for the Fun Run. (Remember, students will run 30-35 laps.) Enter all pledges at FUNRUN.COM, and your student will be rewarded the very next day. Plus, your student will receive a FREE prize just for being registered on funrun.com!
PreK – 2nd grades: 1:30 p.m.
3rd – 5th grades: 2:15 p.m.
This year’s main fundraiser is the Fun Run! It’s a 9-day program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on Monday, April 23. Families will then gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps), and we’ll celebrate at the Fun Run on Wednesday, May 2. With our big goal of raising $15,000 for enrichment and STEM programs at Croft, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run and make it more profitable, easier and fun.
Students will also experience an amazing character theme, CASTLE QUEST! an English castle theme all about being brave and living with character. On their quest to regain Bravemore Castle, students will learn the “SIX VIRTUES of a TRUE HERO” from a cast of colorful characters.
Donations will go toward our enrichment and STEM activities in both 2017-18 and next school year, and to the entire 9-day experience. So please help our school by reaching out to sponsors. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run! Thank you for your support!
Regardless of financial participation, every student is invited to participate in the entire Fun Run program. Students will also receive a FREE gift just by being registered on funrun.com.
Every student will experience Boosterthon’s newest character theme, CASTLE QUEST—a castle theme all about being brave and living with character, which was developed in collaboration with CHARACTER COUNTS!, the nation’s most reputable character education organization.
Boosterthon takes a portion of the pledged funds to cover the costs of the 9-day Fun Run experience and character education component. They also contribute to educational charities. Not only will Croft students be raising funds for our STEM and enrichment activities this year and next year, but they’ll also be helping educational programs through Project Classroom.
Yes, even kindergartners! The Fun Run track is about 1/16th of a mile, 1/4 the size of a normal high school track. The average student will run 30-35 laps and will have a goal to run at least 30 laps to help their school. The most any student will be counted for is 35 laps.
